NAD C 658 no sound from LG TV

Every time I use the optical connection on my unit I am getting no sound from my TV through it. I’ve tried it on numerous other devices, but cannot get any sound to work.

I have a c658 with LG C2 oled and it works fine here on optical. Make sure that de TV sends a bitstream as output. i have Dolby Atmos off and output on Optical Out only. On the C658 I have AV mode on on the optical input. Also make sure that the plug from the oot cable is inserted firmly. I remember it gave quite a resistance when I furst used it. It gave me drop-outs at first but it was the cable that was not inserted fully, i found out. It has worked for 2 years now.
