    Let them first make BluOS play 16/44.1 without bugs. I’d be happy with that. What you ask is no priority to most of us. Enjoying music again without frustration is, though.

    @Bob Heuval

    I've read your posts regarding the problems with your equipment but I say I have *no* problems playing tracks on my M33, C368, C658, Flex or Pulse. I hope you get the help you need to play your music.

    Oh, I can play music (if auto sense and auto stand by are off), it’s just buggy as hell with my NAS library, Cd player, Xbox SX and television attached. The buggy iOS controller is partly to blame. I think I also use the c658 in a different (and heavier) way than most would, revealing more bugs. Try this one: have auto standby enabled. put the c658 in optical 1 (or any non-bluos input). Switch the c658 off with remote (or auto standby). Now use the ios controller by selecting a song from your library. It plays the music, but the c658 will auto shutdown after 20 minutes, despite the music still playing. It’s reproducable and very annoying. I’ve got a whole list of these BUGS.

    Hete’s another funny one: I sometimes mix my whole library of 24000 songs in shuffle mode from NAS. It puts all those 24000 songs in the recently played list (in order) without having played s single one; congesting the queue to sometimes crashing the whole lot. Or try this one: when you have the same song more than once on different albums from the sane artist (remaster, compilation etc) select view all from the artist screen and select one such song: it will play that song from one of the slbums randomly (mostly not the album I selected but another, creating an unwanted playlist with auto fill). ) The list goes on and on…

    Well, a whole community disagrees with you. Just read the posts…

    Dirac lists on their download page that NAD devices have bugs that prevent Dirac from working correctly after Dirac Live 3.4.4, now a year old. The latest is 3.8.2. Just another (official) example that something is really wrong with NAD and BluOS. The iOS controller is just a disaster. You can replicate the software bugs I mentioned. Anyone.

    "Dirac lists on their download page that NAD devices have bugs that prevent Dirac from working correctly after Dirac Live 3.4.4, now a year old."

    Was unable to find that information on the Dirac download page and Dirac is working very well on my M33 and C658.

    From the site: read the change log (they should put this near the download link if you ask me), first link on that page. It’s been there for over a year, every sngle new version

    •  Significantly louder Dirac filter (louder Dirac ON than Dirac OFF) than with Dirac Live 3.4.4 on some NAD devices.
    •  The subwoofer outputs don’t get sound with Dirac On on some NAD devices
    • We therefore recommend NAD users to stay with Dirac Live 3.4.4 until we have fixed that problem.

    You can download Dirac Live's latest public beta build; v3.9.1 here - https://www.dirac.com/live/faq/helpdesk/dirac-live-beta-releases/

    • Fixed the known problem where some NAD and other devices didn’t populate the subwoofer filter unless using version 3.4.4 or older.
    • Fixed the known problem where some NAD devices got substantially louder sound with Dirac ON than with Dirac OFF.

    Thanks Morten, that is very helpful! I’ll try it out. Finally!

    Thanks for that tip, Morten! It finally works and it makes me all the more sad that such an incredible sounding c658/c298 combo, is let down by such aweful and buggy OS. I hope the auto standby bug on the c658 gets solved also. After 2 years (and a promise on nad’s side to solve this as nad could reproduce the bug) it is really due now to fulfill that promise. On the hardware side things are solved then. For BluOS though, I think it will be a hard nut to crack to get this stable anytime soon. I keep my hopes up, but am really let down by the slowness and quietness about bug solving by BlueSound. But Dirac works again for everyone with a nad system. Except for Brian, who didn’t have any issue whatsoever, miraculously.

    I hear you Bob. It appears that some of the issues you describe are specific to the NAD C658.

    I have forwarded all your feedback to our Quality Assurance team for further investigation.
