Node 2 Optical Input
I am in the process of researching a new PC to store my music files on.
I am keen to reduce the amount of electrical noise transmitted to the Node, by this I dont mean audible noise, but the type of noise which affects sound quality.
One solution would be to use the optical input fed directly from the motherboard of a compatible PC.Not using WiFi or the Ethernet port to transfer music to the Node should help.
does anyone know if this sounds like possibility and does anyone from Bluesound know if the optical in is a true optical Toslink input ? The plug in the rear of the Node doesnt look like what I would expect which would be like the optical out of the Node.
Thanks, I would appreciate your thoughts.

Hi AntiBob
We do use TOSLink. There is a TOSLink to Minijack converter inside the box of every NODE 2.
That being said speak with an Authorised Bluesound Dealer in your area. Our testing is about Sound Quality first. Test listen to our system and let us know if you are not satisfied with any jitter that results in a wired or wireless connection from your Player.
Your proposal may create a cumbersome listening experience without any noticeable increase in performance and the basis for inventing Bluesound; Hi-Fi for the Wi-Fi Generation. True digital performance without a computer.
