I have the Bluesound Flex 2i and looking to also connect my Sennheiser headphones to them. I also have the JDS Atom Amp+ (https://jdslabs.com/product/atom-amp/). Is there any benefit of passing the audio from the Flex 2i to the Amp and then to the headphones?

  No

  In fact this may negatively impact sound...   but have you considered a Bluesound NODE for that Amp to play both simultaneously?
