Search unusable with iOS swipe keyboard

You cannot use swipe to type features of the built in iOS keyboard. As soon as you’ve swiped to a couple of letters the keyboard slides out and then back in, interrupting the swipe. You typically end up with nothing in the search box. Also the search screen itself does a little convulsion and you end up with a large blank area at the top of the screen. The app should work with there swipe to type, like any other iOS app
