I purchased the Node and set it up with Spotify and Tidal. I found the setup information to be very poor. I didn't find very useful information from the Spotify or Tidal web sites, but I didn't expect to get detailed information from them.
I connected my Node via my wired network. The "quick start" guide has a lot to say about setting up Wi-Fi but that wasn't relevant to me. It would have been handy to have a paragraph that said, "If you're not using Wi-Fi, here is how it works using a wired network."
My biggest gripe is that when I connected everything and streamed my first song, the volume was really low. It took a while to realize that the Bluesound app controls volume and that it was initially set really low. I spent a nervous 15 minutes before I figured this out.
Second user experience suggestion is a quick-start link to setting up popular music services. What does a new user want more than anything after paying $500 for a piece of stereo gear? To hear some music!
Third suggestion is to start the volume at a higher level and to make it clear that volume is managed via the app. What does a new user want more than anything after paying $500 for a piece of stereo gear? See the above.
I'm expecting good things after I learn the nooks and crannies. The setup experience was very poor however.
