Wimp contents missing in Bluesound

Why is Bluesound not including all the songs, all the contents and all the functionality of Wimp? Why do we only get a part of the package?

  Hello Lidvar,

  With each of our Bluesound App and Firmware updates, we are expanding into the features possible with our streaming partners.

  We love working with WiMP, and will continue to explore more ways to enjoy their features.

  If there is any particular songs you can't find on WiMP by searching for them in Bluesound, please let us know.

  Hi Bluesound,

  Try to search 'Mark Knopfler'. Only a very limited number of albums and songs are shown compared to Wimp online player and the same search on my Sonos.

  Definately room for improvement. Soon.

  Forgot to mention that there is no such problems with the Bluesound - Deezer combination.

  Hello Steen,

  Many of Mark Knopfler's albums cannot be streamed on WiMP, as the record label does not allow streaming of them on WiMP.

  2012's Privateering was the only full release we could play via WiMP.

  Bluesound does not show any WiMP albums that have been restricted from streaming.

  Hello Jesse,

  I don't understand. Wimp web-player finds 15 albums and so does Sonos. Bluesound only finds the one album you mention. Sonos and Wimp web-player are also using streaming. Deezer on Bluesound finds 9 albums made by Mark Knopfler.

  Another example: Try to find Broiler Feat. Ravvel and their song Wild Eyes. It's not possible using search in Bluesound, but it is possible when using Wimp Web-player.

  Hopefully you are able to sort this out.

  Hello Steen,

  Bluesound does not show any WiMP albums that have been restricted from streaming. The other 14 Mark Knopflier albums are restricted from streaming on WiMP.

  Deezer may have different permissions with the record label.

  We searched "Wild Eyes" in the WiMP Search in the Bluesound app, and found your mentioned song under the Songs section of our Search Results.

  Also when searching "Wild Eyes" we found the artist "Broiler Feat. RAVVEL", and we could see this song from the Top Tracks for this artist.

  Hello Jesse,
  You're absolutely right about the Broiler-issue when using the app. I was using the Windows-program when searching failed.
  Regarding the Knopfler-issue I still don't see the difference between streaming via a Wimp-app and a Bluesound-hardware device. Both uses streaming...?

  Hello Steen,

  Bluesound does not show any WiMP albums that have been restricted from streaming.

  On WiMP's own apps (iOS and Android) you can see those 14 other Mark Knopfler albums, but you cannot play the songs from those 14 other albums on WiMP's own apps.

  There are actually quite many I cannot find through Bluesound that are present through Wimp directly. E.g. a few days ago I was searching for John Mayers album Born and raised...no luck...

  No problem with that one by searching "John Mayer" or "Born and Raised".
