Updating an Amazon Fire..?
I'm struggling with this.
A 'helpful' young visitor tried to update our 3.14 app that is used to control our 3 Pulse speakers and 2 Nodes and deleted it before finding out that the new app isn't compatible on a Kindle.
I've been trying to find a simple way to download the old version again and can't.
Surely there has to be a way to save the Kindle from the bin (it was bought purely to control the stereo) - I can't imagine that a company like Bluesound can see this as progress, and I know I am not alone in this situation as I have searched the questions here.
If this really is 'the way forward' then I am very disappointed. Please tell me that I am wrong.

Just another user here, but is 3.14 no longer available on the Kindle Store? According to the following post it may be:

Thanks for your reply Brian, but I had seen that thread.
I've tried downloading the Kindle app to my phone but it seems that it's for reading Kindle books only, no sign of the BluOS app, or so it seems to me.

Hi Steve
I am sorry to report it has been removed from the Kindle Store and is no longer available on Kindle.

Thanks for the clarification Tony which I know you've posted in another thread, but I do find it quite amazing that given that a Kindle runs on Android-based software that this can't be overcome - surely some software writer can devise a way round this at minimal expense and make a lot of Bluesound users happy again....?

There are two things you can do:
1) I bought a new Kindle (good Spring sale) and restored from my old Kindle that still has the BlueSound Kindle app. Works great!
2) Install Google Play on your Kindle and install the Android BS App. Google Google Play and Kindle and it explains how you can install Google Play on your Kindle.
