The DAC in the NODE is very good but quite a few prefer using an external DAC and report on getting higher quality.

The Audiolab 6000CDT will absolutely work with the NODE however a higher quality DAC will gain audible improvements. As Paul Rigby found he kept getting better results with better quality DACs, of course at some point there won’t be any further gains.

Hi Seppi, yes I have read this and it is clear that the AUDIOLAB is excellent and works well with a variety of DAC’s.. what I don’t know is the quality of the DAC in the node. I am assuming it’s very good based on the node sound quality. But can someone confirm my thinking is correct.

    Thanks Seppi

The AUDIOLAB and the node would be part of my second system situated in a small room along with A Rega Brio amp and Dali Spektor 1 speakers. I am not concerned about getting the ultimate sound but still want it to be good.

My main system is a Naim pre-power set up with a Linn Lp 12 and Neat Ekstra speakers.

If the Node is very good that’s good enough for me leaving the option to upgrade at a later date if I want to.

Do you think its good enough for the AUDIOLAB

    Thanks.  Trevor
