The Powernode will always be ‘on’. You can set the amplifier to sleep after 15 minutes of inactivity, but the node will stay on. It is designed that way, so it can maintain the BluOS network coupling. It will not use much power in this state. Just make sure amplifier standby is activated in settings. There’s nothing wrong with your node or your eARC connection :)

As a side-note: don’t set the node in Vacation mode often, as I suspect you thinking that is the ‘off’ mode. . The blue light has to stay lit. Always. There really is no ‘off’ mode on the Node. Vacation mode is not recommended as it will degrade the power supply within the node faster.

I mean it stays in play mode. So HDMI is selected and time continues to run (like a song is playing). This does not put it into standby. not even after several hours. you can see it when you open the app.

I know that the powernode is always on. But there is a difference whether it is in play mode or standby.

If you listen carefully, you can even hear it in the speakers when it switches to standby a few minutes later after a song and switches off the internal amps.

He doesn't do this in this case. you can see it in the app.

The switch off signal from the TV is not processed

Then I was mistaken, sorry! In that case: have you checked settings in the TV to turn off attached appliances on turning off tv? I have to explicitly select that on my tv and xbox series x.Otherwise it has to be a bug in bluos, which wouldn’t surprise me. At all.

I have the exact same problem as FirstSpaceApe.

    I have a samsung qled tv (2021).

If i turn off the TV the connection will stay active on the Node. This result into the amp never going into standby.

    Is there a fix?

i already checked everyting on my tv with samsung remote support.

I also don't understand why other people don't notice it or bother them.
I have now tested it with a Sony & Philips TV. The Powernode always remains active or on play. for days. until you start something else.

This of course has a negative effect on power consumption if the power amplifiers do not switch to standby

The on/off function on HDMI arc has a serious bug if you ask me...

Did you test with an optical cable too?

Does it really not turn off? My Powernode also stays on play when turning off the tv, but the amps go to standby after a couple of minutes. Still the app shows play active (for hours).

You can check this when you play a song, the first 5sec there is no sound. I’ve also turned off the permanent led, and when the device wakes from standby the led goes on for a couple of seconds.

    It didnt.
But i got online support from samsung. The did a reset of the hdmi port and a complete reset of my tv. And i changed the cables.

It turns out that the tv box of my provider was the problem in combination with my tv. I bought a CEC killer and placed it on the tv box hdmi port.
Now i see what you mean with the light. It turns on for a few second when i turn it on. 5 seconds later i get sound.

But only on Arc. Earc still doesnt work properly. But i didnt hear any difference so its fine for now.
