    Hello Nick,

Audio performance is big to us. TOSLink has had a bad reputation in the past due to the use of inferior cables and poor implementation. It is however a superior form when done correctly because there simply is less data conversion happening.

Our TOSLink performs up to 24/192 with less jitter provided you are using a properly rated, modern digital cable. We are confident in our implementation and you will be impressed.

Listen and hear for yourself at one of our dealer showrooms.

hi Jesse J thanks for that, i'm considering purchasing the Node and setting it up optically through a Cyrus Pre QX dac, my preference would be to bypass the dac on the Node and upsample using the cyrus dac, I take it this will work? I believe the DAC on the Cyrus will be more accurate than on the Node

    Hey Nick,

We won't be able to assist you with a question like this regarding your third party products.

Feel free to bring this to the attention of your Bluesound Authorized Dealer.

Thanks, I have added a similar post, I did not see this earlier. This is satisfying enough. However, which type of cables are we talking about here cause a good quality toslink cable cab cost 1000 $

I bought a node and use optical out to cyrus dac, sounds superb particularly in hi res
I bought chord co optichord, cost 55 Gbp, lovely open sound, critisism is fitting to node could be tighter, not sure whether it's fault of chord or node
