Speaker's BT / WiFi interface control
AnsweredHello, we are arranging an audio multiroom system for a small medical clinic.
Since the clinic contains medical devices that require no interference (mainly Bluetooth), I would like to so that everything works over a wired Ethernet network. I am glad to find Bluesound which has products with Ethernet.
I would like to ask, because it is not mentioned in the manual, whether the Pulse Flex 2i speakers, for example, have the option to globally turn off the Bluetooth interface (and maybe even Wi-Fi) via the application? (to avoid emitting this band)
Thank you in advance for any response!

Wi-Fi will be disabled when you use ethernet.
BT can be disabled for incoming sources in the app/controller, and as long as you are not using BT output (headphone), I think it is rather "quiet". -
Thank you for such a quick response.
This sounds good, although the question remains whether this disabling is actually a disabling or just a hiding (like we can, for example, hide the name of a Wi-Fi network but not disable it for use).0 -
Disabled is disabled.
Using a BT scanner, the player is not visible when disabled.0 -
I understand that "player" in this case also refers to the speaker I mentioned ("Pulse Flex 2i") and that the "BT scanner" refers to the measure device (not something like a smartphone app).
Thank you for reassuring me, I was looking for equipment that would have such capabilities for a long time.
P.S.
I see, that initial setup of new speaker goes by app. The new speaker has no our Wifi password, so I guess that setup app uses Bluetooth to find and setup the speaker?
Greetings!

By the way, this works also for other Bluesound units? For example for Edge? (Yes, more I search on Bluesound, I like more of them, adapting my budget now 😄)
