NAD C700 Random High Volume Output
AnsweredMy NAD C700 randomly cranks up the volume. It would occasionally happen on startup when playing music from my iPad so I then started turning the NAD on first and then selecting the volume level and then selecting music from the streaming App. Now the NAD C700 will just randomly start blaring the music like an hour after startup. There seems to no reason for as it has been playing normally for like an hour and then, boom, volume level 70 or higher. I live in a condo so this situation has to be rectified before I completely piss off my neighbours or have cardiac arrest from this random load noise.
Any help or advise would be appreciated. Thanks.

When using an end-point solution such as Spotify or Apple AirPlay - the current volume of your phone is sent with the source to an end-point as per Spotify and Apple's implementation. This is not limited to the NAD C700 or any BluOS device but an industry standard curiosity. Bluesound along with our good friends at NAD are speaking to Music Services about this problem long term and what it is doing to products made by other good friends such as PSB Speakers and DALI.
Take a look at volume limits in your Audio Settings; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360036429314 as one way to limit the upper end of your product's audio output.

Hello, I had observed a similar behavior when another streaming app (e.g. Deezer, ...) was started on the tablet in addition to the BlueOS app.

Hi, same here with Spotify connected through my iPhone 15 Pro, its possible, that the app on my Mac was also active at the same time. It happend 3 times within one hour, where the volume jumped straight to 100... one time my not-even-one-year-old son was sitting 30cm away from the speakers... you can maybe imagine how awful this kind of situation was
