Thanks, Tony -- I will try that, since my iPhone is already permanently stuck at vs. 4.x.

One question:  How do you tell what FW vs. is on your player?  I don't recall ever seeing that, just allowing updates whenever they are offered.  (I got one this morning.) -- jclarkw

Settings, About from the Home Screen - you will see 2 numbers, one for the App on your Phone and one for the Main BluOS Firmware on your Player.

As of December 12th, 2023, in iOS you should be on BluOS App 4.2.2 and BluOS 4.2.6

I'm on the iOS App 4.2.1 and BluOS 4.2.6.

The above post suggests I should update the app on my phone to 4.2.2. but when I select Settings > Upgrade I get the message "no update available".

    How do I get 4.2.2?

I updated to 4.2.6 now I have l problems with Amazon, wish I had not upgraded. Can't choose to play anything. This is getting beyond a joke. Been nothing but trouble the last few weeks.

    I'm on ipados17.2

Updating did not make any difference. Rebooting router and Node, no difference.

It worked well before all these "upgrades".

    >>Please upgrade your Bluesound Player to 4.2.6 and your iPhone and/or iPad to 4.2.2.<<

Tony W. -- This helped a lot in several ways!  Many things work as advertised in 4.2.2.  So far I've only found a few broken links.  Notably, when you click on an underlined artist or composer in the album info, nothing happens.  But if you click on the similar link in info on one of the tracks, then it works.  (Nevertheless, I still prefer BluOS vs. 3.20.6 -- available for Android.)  Good luck with the debugging! -- jclarkw

A rollback would be a good idea.

Rays Jazz -- Yeah, but how?!  I'm informed by Apple that it can't be done. -- jclarkw

That is the problem, can't do it at the moment. Some people, I think, saved the old version on their computer, then they could delete the new version and reinstall the old version. Not sure how to do that on an ipad.

You can go back to the 3 interface, that fixed my issue with Amazon search.

It is also better than the 4 interface for searching, you don't need to go all the way out. I really don't understand the design of 4, regarding searching, I'm not alone either.

Rays Jazz -- I'm missing something here:  Are you talking about the iOS app or something else?

I'm using an iPhone, and I've been explicitly told that rolling back to a previous version of an app is not permitted by iOS or by the Apple App Store.  If you've found a work-around, I'm interested!

I've already rolled back my old Android phone, now dedicated to BlueSound, and on my PC I'm using the Qobuz Web Player, so it's not an issue. -- jclarkw

Yes in the BluOs App, settings, I found an option to go back to the 3 interface. You need to find User Interface then disable 4, it will go back to 3 then, Works fine, unlike 4. 3 days without any problems.

Rays Jazz -- OK, BlueSound Support told me about that feature in vs. 4.x.  (I guess they got a lot of complaints about vs. 4, including ours!)  But it's certainly not rolling back to an earlier version, just reverting the interface.

Glad it solves your problem, but the latest version, 4.2.2, has solved most of mine. -- jclarkw

Pity no one told me about it, have been messing around for a week or more, all this rebooting and network resetting, was a waste of time. All support have said is try using your iphone, which I don't even have.
