LG C3 TV and Pulse Soundbar+ eARC problems.
AnsweredI'm having problems enabling eARC on my new LG C3 TV. Soundbar is hooked up using the HDMI (eARC) port on the TV. Used the cable that came with the soundbar at first. When I enable eARC compatibility on the TV sound disappears. Disabling it brings back sound. Bought a new highspeed HDMI eARC compatible cable from DeLock.TV, Soundbar and cable are alle certified for eARC. Same result. No sound when enabling eARC compatibility in TV sound settings.
Hook up the TV with same DeLock cable to my NAD 3050 (HDIM eARC port). No problem, I have sound when enabling eARC compatibility on TV.
The shop where I bought the soundbar lent me and other soundbar (same make and model as mine) Hooked it up to TV with same DeLock cable. No sound when enabling eARC compatibility. The shop hooked up the soundbar I lent from them to a Philips TV. Enabled eARC compatibility in the Philips TV, sound disappeared.
So that leads me to believe there is a eARC problem in the new software for the Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+
Anyone else with this soundbar and a LG C3 OLED TV that can confirm that when you enable eARC compatibility in the TV sound settings the sound disappeares?
Thanks.

Hi Chris
Thank you for letting us know. Glad to hear you have a workaround but it has been sent to our QA Team for investigating. The main difference between ARC and eARC has to do with compression rate so you will not hear any audible performance changes having this set to the TV.
Since we have not heard or seen this before, likely something LG changed recently.

Can’t be a LG problem as the same happened when the store connected a Phillips TV. And enabling eARC compatibility works when connecting my amp.

Thanks Chris... our default is to re-test the standard first. We only narrow down on brands if we can't replicate or reproduce...

Opened a support ticket to get you to look into the matter. Will be happy to send log files if needed.

Hi, any updates on this issue. I have the same setup and am experiencing exactly the same issue: no sound via eARC on LG C3.
