does laptop lid need to be open for network share?

With the help of a wonderful BluOS rep, I was able to get a Network Share working from my laptop to my BluOS device. I didn't think to ask if the laptop lid has to be open for the share to work? I accidentally closed the lid for a moment just now and it didn't appear to interrupt the music, but not sure if that was buffering.

  Hi Keith

  Depends on what your power saving mode is on the laptop and if it goes to sleep when you close the lid. Check it out under Windows Settings or Apple System Preferences...

  Thanks Tony. I have "Prevent sleeping on power adapter when display is off" so that might cover it? Also "Wake for Network Access" is turned on.
