Player name and Home app
AnsweredThe controller apps show this message for the player name setting:
"Your player has been added to an Apple Home configuration and its name can only be changed using the Apple Home app"
The player does not appear anywhere in the Home app, so this message is either just wrong, or something in the BluOS setup is not working correctly.
I've tried adding the player to the Home app, but just get an error. In Home app when I go to add an accessory I can see the player listed in the "Select an Accessory to Add to My Home" screen, available from the "More Options" button. The player is shown as "Nearby". When I tap it I get the error "AirPlay - Unable to connect to “<player name>"", and then the message "Unable to add Accessory"

Hi Simon
Check all the Rooms in your Apple Home App - if you are having or seeing this, it is because it is in there.

Unfortunately how the Apple AirPlay SDK works, the only way to remove it if it's not in the Apple Home App is to factory reset the player. Backup your Playlists first if it is the only BluOS Player on your network; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360000479488
