Surround for Powernode Edge

I recently purchased a Powernode edge, and today I added two Pulse Flex 2i speakers to form a surround set, well that’s what I thought. Now while installing it seems that for some reason the powernode Edge cannot be combined with Flex-es to form a surround set. I think this is very unfortunate and probably just a firmware setting? Could this be changed so that my surround set is complete? I sure hope so!
