Make artwork collection easy
AnsweredThe song and dance I've been going through:
- Scroll through albums and realize some artwork is missing or too large
- Go to musicbrainz or bandcamp and get replacement
- Place replacement in the album directory
- Hit reload artwork, restart client, art not there
- Hit reindex under settings, restart client, art not there
- Hit reindex under diagnostics, restart client, art appears
What I want:
- Reload artwork goes to musicbrainz and grabs what is needed for anything missing
- Tells me if it couldn't find a match

Hi Stinx
BluOS is a music playback system and has no metadata lookup functions. There are great products that do that already...
The functionality you want is already in a great third-party product called Bliss. Check out www.blisshq.com

OK, fair enough. But could you at least make it so I don't need a diagnostic-level reindex to pick up the corrected artwork?

Unfortunately no - a re-index is a quick fix (it does not remove deleted files for example). It looks for modified meta files. I you are using cover.jpg or folder.jpg - the file is skipped by design to quickly add new music. Anytime you adjust meta, you want a full rebuild.

Just to follow up for anyone else who comes across this, I was able to resolve by adjusting my workflow. I set up Picard to scan and cluster everything and move it into my library. So now my process is download, unzip, drag folder into Picard, hit save. I have not had any problems since.
