Genre not displayed by album name and year

I would like the genre to be displayed after the album year on desktop and iPhone apps. When I add an album to my library, I want to make sure it's in the right genre, and it's a major pain to figure that out without the genre being displayed. At a minimum, I would want this on the PC/ Mac apps where's there's plenty of room. Thanks.
