White line moving above player

hi, in the windows interface when playing a track there is a white line near the bottom, obove the now playing, its seems to fill up then drop back, fill up then drop back. What is it?

 

I am assuming cache, but really have no idea.

  I think you are seeing some erratic behaviour of the progress bar.

  This is normally fixed in the latest controller update (4.0.2), at least I didn't notice an issue in that version.
