4.1 Issues w Surround with PowerNode N330 and Flex Pulse 2i over wifi mesh
AnsweredHi and HELP :)
I have an N330 in a 2.1 stereo setup (master front speakers/Woofer) and eARC connection to my TV. The TV and N330 is cabled through to a 2.4 GHz Mesh satellite. The satellite is 5-6 meters from the main Mesh node. Both music and TV streaming works to perfection, except the odd loss of recognition in the BlueOs App from time to time (why does this happen?).
I wanted to enhance my movie and music experience and bought 2 Flex Pulse 2i as rear channels in a 4.1 setup. These are positioned 9-10 meters from the Powernode/Mesh sat, but have another Mesh satellite to connect to just 3-4 meters from the Flex Pulse position (another room). Setup was somewhat easy. And I could get it all to play movies in a 4.1 setup - it seemed to work fine.
Then the challenges started.
Then I switched to music - immediately the PowerNode and App lost all track of grouping/App-connection and music stopped. Trying to go back to TV was also impossible. Waiting did no help (allow the App to find its feet). Reset the network - no help. Only solution was to remove the PowerNode power (wall) and let it start over.
After resetting... choosing player (theater group) - Spotify got sketchy ...blinking and working sporadicly... but only without the rear speakers.
Resetting again (incl regrouping in BlueOs) changing to movies. Now my rear speakers worked again in sync (no latency) ... but i noticed that they would fall out almost every other second.
Doing this quite a few times, I concluded that I can not go from movies to music without BlueOs giving in - IF i promt music from Spotify while watching a movie. It should just switch seamlessly but its impossible.
If I stop watching tv and then go to music... then is works sometimes - EXCEPT i have now lost my rear speakers.
Wifi Network is fast enough and in close vicinity of all components.
I really wanted to bring a more full sound with this system. I asked in the shop what a potential solution could be and they said buy an extra Edge to wire the Flex Pulses to ... THATS INSANE - the Flex Pulses are Wifi and wireless connected i.e. defies the intension of the product (including the PowerNode).
HELP - Why doesn't this work? ... Seems to me like an APP/N330 switch issue.

Hi Jakob
Can you please send us a log file of your POWERNODE N330. You can do this from the Home Screen of the BluOS App and selecting Settings, Send Support Request and fill out the online form. Once our Support Crew have a better understanding after reviewing the log file, they will reach out directly via e-mail with some recommendations.

Hi Jakob, aside from Tony's team helping you sort that out, in general multiple mesh points is really hard for many devices to constantly distinguish and keep data updated. Each mesh point acts like it's own broadcast server and we look for; security then strength. If you have all mesh points set up for security then we look for strength, if only the primary is set up for security then we will automatically connect there first. Using a single point as a signal boost is a good idea, using lots of them confuses devices and as you move around the areas and the devices need to move/update sources it can cause issues... Just my 2-cents.
