Node 2 Is Bricked - Can't Update Firmware
The red light on my Node 2 is solid red and never changes.
Several times now I have downloaded the firmware and transferred it to a freshly formatted 64GB USB stick. The stick is placed in the Node2. I am pressing down on the play-pause button and then plugging in the AC power. From the very second that the power cord is plugged in, the front light turns solid red and never blinks or changes in any way. As I mentioned, we have tried this procedure several times.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks!

Two capacitors on the power board have gone bad. More specifically, the ones directly near the heat sink on the power board. These two capacitors are rated for a maximum temperature of 85C. They will need to be replaced with capacitors that have a 110C or better rating or Bluesound needs to send you a new power board (with better capacitors). Switching the board is something you can do yourself or you can take it to an electronics repair shop and they can replace the two capacitors for a few dollars.
