Touchscreen on Node N130 never turns off.

So I bought a Node N130 this morning and I noticed the lights on the touch screen are still on after not using it for almost an hour. A quick Google search shows this is a common issue. I assume this also means it never goes into standby?

  You can change the settings in the BluOS App Settings…Player…indicator brightness and proximity.

  I already found the settings (proximity off: normal and dimmed, proximity on: normal, dimmed, off) before I posted my question. I expected with proximity off the lights would also turn off when the Node goes into standby. Can I assume the reason the lights stay on, with proximity off, is purely for convenience so it's easier to operate it from the panel in a dimly it room?
