Windows App: 4.0.1 BluOS: 4.0.2
AnsweredHi.
After installing Windows App 4.0.1 there were a few issues that immediately came up.
To begin with, the animated track progress bar shows a behaviour that I could not accuratelly describe, even if tried very hard to do it. It moves forward and backward at totally random speeds and times.
Then there is the inexplicable disapearing act of the search box and, hence, the search feature. There is just no way to search for any track, artist, album or anything else, for that matter.
Last but, certainly, not least, I had to go tthrough Home->Artist-<artist's initial> to be able to find and play an album I have just added, because choosing Library->Folders-><wanted folder name> just won't display any tracks, even after running the reindex process twice.
Unfortunatelly, it is not the first time that new software versions, specially on Windows, are rolled out with errors and issues so absurd that it leads us to believe that your testing process is either seriously flawed or simply inexistent. Either way, it is absolutely unacceptable that you keep deploying to production software versions with so many defects and such basic and evident flaws.
It's a real shame that the quality and the reliability of the software cannot match those of the equipment.
Please, correct the all these errors and issues and, above all, please, stop rolling out poorly tested or even totally untested versions.

Francisco

As I stated in a previous post, Windows development has always suffered under Bluesound. The mere fact that it is listed under "OTHER" in this forum is a strong indicator. The app has never conformed to Windows apps standards (ie - it never remember window status - make the app full screen, close it, and it goes back to windowed when you restart). It is especially bad on laptops, where the scaling is way out of proportion to screen size.
They obviously don't test and debug the Windows app to the same standard as the Apple/Android.
This version was (and still is) not ready for prime time.

Actually, it does not. Not in this case. Besides that being irrelevant to the fact that all album tracks should be displayed, no matter the method used to get to it.

Robert Trancho As I stated in a previous post, Windows development has always suffered under Bluesound.
Don't forget the BluOS icon that gets removed from your Windows Taskbar every time the BluOS app is updated!

Hi, Tony.
Thank you for the reply.
Two of the issues I have mentioned were solved (progress bar behaviour and album tracks not displaying).
The search box or any other library search option are still missing. The absence of a search option is quite annoying, specially with large libraries.
I would appreciate if you can have this fixed.
Thanks.

Francisco
