Node X feeding MC452 via analog unbalanced output - not loud enough

As title states, I have a Node X feeding an MC452 stereo amp using the unbalanced output of the Node X. At 0db, it is loud, but not loud enough. Output struggles to peak beyond 30W/channel. When going through an external DAC, I can achieve much higher volumes. 

Any ideas? Thanks!

  Hi Craig

  Please try the FIXED output of the NODE and use your Amp to control the volume.

  WARNING!!!! - Turn down your amp to the minimum volume before enabling FIXED output.

  This is in the Audio Settings of your Player in the BluOS App.

  The MC452 is just a power amplifier, it does not volume or pre-amplification of any kind. In this instance, the Node X is the preamp and manager of the volume.

  Then you should be checking your gain settings in the power-amp documentation.

  There isn't a gain setting on my power-amp. Is the output adjustable on the bluesound side?
