Vault 2i freezes during hard drive playback since 4.0.2
Since the 4.0.2 update my Vault freezes at seemingly random intervals. It only seems to happen when playing back from the hard drive, not when listening to online music services. It happens both when playing back directly from the Vault, and when the Vault streams music to other players.
When this happens the other players become unstable, freeze, or vanish from the controller screen. And the Vault remains frozen until its physically powered down and rebooted: the 'reboot' command doesn't work.
Everything was working perfectly before the update and no other changes have been made to the system or the local network.
I submitted a 'help' request via the Vault support menu a few days ago but didn't receive an acknowledgement and have not had any response.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Can anyone propose a possible solution?
System:
Vault 2.1
Pulse Flex 2.1
Powernode 2.1
Pulse Mini 2.1
All ethernet-cabled and with static IP addresses

Try rebooting your router, after shutdown of devices. When the router is up and running, restart devices.

Thanks Alain.
I did as you suggested but the problem persists. I also submitted an error report/support request via the app controller menu for device I was streaming to when it froze (Pulse Flex i).
The app also produced an error message which I was able to screenshot, referring to Error 10.
Please advise what to do now?

I’m having same problem, as is a friend, and a few others, I see. They obviously need to fix this. I’ll submit my own help request for what it’s worth.

I haven't had much of a chance to actually use my Vault to play music as it has started to freeze while ripping CDs since the update. Insert CD, then nothing. Very frustrating.

Further observation: the Vault and other players on my network can play online services - in my case Radio Paradise, various stations on Tune In - apparently without any problem at all. I've been listening to music that way for many hours during the last 24, and there have been no malfunctions at all. Its only when I play and/or stream music from the Vault's hard drive that the freezing occurs: the fault does seem specific to that source. Whereas it didn't happen at all before the recent upgrade; it now happens sufficently often that I've been forced to mostly stop listening to my own music until this is fixed.

I have the same issues with my Vault2 since the recent Firmware update. Stops playback from internal Vault2 HDD, player ( wndows and Andriod) also then become unresponsive. I have already tried the reboot router option, and even clear the address reservation on the router for vault2. The only temp fix seems to be to pull the power lead out the back of the Vault2. Once booted up, the vault2 and controllers work fine for serveral tracks.... and then it freezes playback. BTW, when play back stops ( e.g. mid track ) and the windows & andriod apps become unresponsive, the VAULT2 is still happy to respond to PINGs - so it is still talking a bit on the network, just not to the App and not outputing audio to my amp! Not had this issue before in over 4 years of ownership. Firmware seems to have broken it. Did try going back to the older version on windows laptop, but got the same issue. So looks like Player Firmware is the source of the issues.

It must be the firmware. A quick solution would be to temporary revert to V3, if only Bluesound would provide a downloadlink.
