HI Jacob
We made it easier, faster and more sharable this way... try it. You can also still see the USB separately under Library - Folders.
If however, Server Mode is not for you, you can select Settings, Music Library, and disable Server Mode. Once disabled, remove the USB, re-insert and say NO to the prompt.

Instruction from Tony W. worked for me: disable Server Mode, remove USB drive, reinsert USB drive, answer "No" when prompted for "Share USB drive with other players on this network?". Then USB drive become/stays as separate device in the menu with all features available like in BluOs 3.*

Nów it's working, after the instructions above and
re-instaling the Android app V4.01
Thanks!1 -
The problem with this is inherent. Turn off server mode and your USB disk connected to your Router will no longer work with Samba. If you have both a Samba connection and a USB drive plugged into the back of your Blusound device they will be grouped together under a Library tab. The direct connected USB will show up if you choose Folders and your folders will be indexed. The Samba drive will not be indexed that way, I get no Folder view, but all the rest of the choices.
Now here is the problem, if you have some of the same songs on both drives it will show two entries for the same song without a way to know which one is playing unless you go to technical info and look at the path. Even if you choose a song that's listed as being on the local USB drive it defaults to the one on the Network. It gets messy. I'm going to stick with the local USB and load more music on it and forget about using the Samba drive.
