    OFFICIAL COMMENT UPDATE:

Thanks all for your patience - we have replicated this issue on the PULSE FLEX 2i. We hope to publish an update very soon on this. The PULSE FLEX is hanging up on a kernel driver at boot.

Keep trying to reboot it, it does eventually go. One of our Support Crew Members had it in her home and it took 7 or 8 boots before it caught. None others did so it is not affecting all FLEX 2is... just some.

Again, we apologise for the inconvenience.

    Had the same issue.
I had it with the battery on (the other Flex 2i without was fine and updated nicely) and I was able to restart without the battery on. After putting it back with the speaker already successfully booted up it runs smoothly since then.

    HI Nanook

I have escalated your issue to our Support Crew, they will be in touch to investigate further.

(Though yes, if it's a Battery Pack attached, Krang's comments may help too).

Thanks for your answer. The Flex 2i works on AC without battery pack. After disconnecting power for several times it runs sometimes. This behavior came with the actual BluOS update.

Hello, same issue with my Pulse Flex 2i : solid red light. It doesn’t work since the new BluOS update. The factory reset is also impossible

One of my Flex 2i is now dead and has red light and unable to reset or get back on the network.

Same problem after updating. Have 3 Pulse Flex 2i. All hardwired to power and Internet. Two are fine after upgrade to 4.0, one is solid red light

    Ok, rebooting finally worked.

Rebooting worked a couple of days ago, but since this morning, it’s burning solid red again. Even after 8 times trying to reboot once more. What to do?

Same behavior here. You have to reboot it several times. This is not satisfying.

I managed to get it working in another room wired, but as soon as I move it back to the kitchen where I can't use Ethernet it's back to solid red light.

Thank you for your feedback - we have identified the root cause of this issue and have made some changes to the upgrade server affecting BLUESOUND PULSE FLEX 2i models. Rest assured, once you get it blue again next time, it should prompt for an upgrade to resolve this issue.

Hi Simon - since you got it back to Blue using Ethernet, please try that again to get the prompt - once updated, it will be ok. If you are having issues and moving it does not get it working again, please e-mail support@bluesound.com and they may have some tricks to help.

This is an absolute pain and I don't even use the app I use Roon. I don't need any Bluesound capability I just need it to connect to Roon without dragging it around the house and using Ethernet

New update this evening for my Pulse Flex 2i, which obviously solved the problem. It now works normally. Thanks !.

Same issue for me. Pulse Flex solid red after update. Cannot connect to LAN. Tried endless power ups, never gets past solid red light immediately after connecting AC power.

Incidentally I have a node that died a few years back with this same solid red light problem. It was never fixed. I have a bricked Node, Pulse Mini 2i, and now this latest Flex.

In my case the update solve the problem. Thanks to your team!
