Difficulty with wi-fi connection on Powernode Edge
AnsweredI have been using a Node in my main system for several years now, connected via Ethernet, with no networking problems.
Yesterday I bought a Powernode Edge to use in another room, and this one will have to be wireless - I have had no end of problems with getting it set up.
Every time I tried to connect it to my wi-fi during the normal setup procedure, it failed. Eventually, I hooked it up via Ethernet and configured it manually for wi-fi, and it was then finally able to connect to my network.
But it takes an age to find the wi-fi network when booted - the green light flashes for 60 to 90 seconds before turning blue. It then quite frequently drops the connection ten seconds or so later, goes back to flashing green, and then seems to reconnect after 30 seconds or so, at which point it appears to stay connected.
This morning, I swapped out my existing router, a BT Smart Hub 2, with a Linksys Max-Stream that I keep as a spare, and I am getting exactly the same issues - very slow initial connection, followed by connection dropping and reconnection.
My house is relatively small; the Powernode is no more than 10 metres from the router with perhaps 2 or 3 internal walls in the way. I have no problem with wifi connection in the same room as the Powernode with other devices - iPhone, iPad, laptop etc all get good connection and good signal.
The fact that I see exactly the same issue after swapping the router makes me suspect something isn't right in the Powernode - any suggestions as to anything else I could try?

Nope I have a bluesound powernode edge that's giving an extremely disappointing user experience.
