    Thanks for the feedback Bodi

Unfortunately 'Universal' is not as Universal as people would like to think. We try to avoid locking older macOS systems and other platforms too until absolutely necessary. That being said, I have passed your feedback along to our Product Development Team.

    Hi Tony,

A Universal binary runs on both Silicon and Intel chips. So you don't lock any users out.

I also wonder why you after so long time don't have a universal binary. A universal binary would include versions both for Intel and Apple silicon. Time to adapt to the future of Mac and support Apple silicon natively!

Wondering if anything has been done on the Universal binary front. This thing now takes ages to start on a M1.

Wondering as well. Could we please get an update on the situation? Cannot be so difficult to develop a Apple Silicon native app.

Bluesound seem to think Universal programming is in the to hard basket, how about making the iOS app available in the App Store for Mac users, surely that can't be to hard to do. A perfect example of this being done successfully is the WiiM app, the iOS version runs perfectly on new Macs, in fact so well, my Node is gathering dust and been replaced with a WiiM Ultra. Not sure of the numbers using Macs to control their Streamers, maybe it's not big enough for Bluesound to care, either way WiiM is winning this race by a mile.

Starting with the latest version of MacOS (Sequoia), Rosetta is not installed by default. Rosetta is heavy and adds a lot of bloat to the OS so I, for one, won't install it. Please please please create a controller for Apple Silicon. You're definitely behind the 8-ball on this one since a big fat pop-up request to add a major software component pops up when you attempt start your controller. Now I'm stuck only using my phone and that definitely doesn't make me want to buy more of your devices.  Just FYI, Focus group of 1.

The "official comment" indicates that they don't have a clue what a UB is. Maybe after a year they have done some research, but since they also put the silent treatment on this thread, I don't think we'll see a UB until Apple stops support their Intel machines. The controller on Mac is in such a bad state right now, performance wise and UI wise that I stopped using it long time ago.

    Dear @Tony W.

Any news? The app is slow like hell on my MacBook Pro. It is obvious that it does not work properly.

I'm pretty sure we are just having a conversation between ourselves on this one, no one at Bluesound seems to give a toss. MacOS seems very low on their priority list which is extremely disappointing. It is costing them business though, I no longer use any Bluesound products. So many better options for Mac users. eg WiiM, heaps cheaper, sounds as good and the OS is awesome on a Mac.

I feel like "avoiding locking older macOS systems and other platforms too until absolutely necessary" should not mean making the software run like crap on all the mac from the last 4-5 years. I mean even if universal binary is not very well understood, that should not mean that they could not make a separate Apple Silicon build of the software, or does it?

Even if it is an Electron app, other electron apps have made it work. Like 4 years ago.
