Yes that sounds OK as long as it’s a NODE with BT as early version did not have it. The App does not actually do any of the streaming as it’s a remote control and you have to Bluetooth pair the AirPods to your BSN using whatever mechanism Apple say.

Now my head hurts.  So, this Node does have BT.  But you're saying you can't stream it via the phone to the AirPods, only from the BSN to the AirPods?

If the tracks are on a USB memory stick plugged into the NODE then the BluOS App tells the NODE to play them and once music is playing you can turn your phone off.

You can stream from the phone (local tracks or an unsupported streaming service on your phone ) to the AirPods via the BSN but that’s of no real benefit and introduces an additional “hop”

For some odd reason, all I get is slight static after pairing the AirPods to the BSN.  Frustrating.

Do the USB tracks play fine (ignoring the AirPods) on the NODE and sound OK?

Yes they sound fine when playing via optical to my DAC.

Try powering off your NODE for five minutes and try again ensuring your AirPods ate nice and close to the NODE.

I'll certainly try those things out in a couple hours.  It's 06:00 here now, I'm just getting up and going.  It would be nice if it worked, although I'm not opposed to buying a set of over-the-ear bt headphones.
