Powernode + 2 x Flex 2i losing connection
AnsweredHello,
I am now absolutely disappointed with Bluesound.
I have a Powernode and 2 Flex 2i.
All 3 devices are connected via WiFi.
My apartment is approx. 83 m², very open design, hardly any walls between the router, WLAN amplifier and the Bluesound devices.
My router is a FRITZbox 6591 Cable, which I use in conjunction with a FRITZ WLAN Repeater 1750E.
Since the FRITZBox doesn't provide a very good WiFi signal, I use the WiFi repeater as a mesh. So that the Bluesound devices connect to the WLAN repeater, I restart all 3 devices and then check the signal.
The signal strength of the Powernode is always Excellent (-39dBm), that of the Flex 2i is between Good and Fair (-58dBm to -64dBm).
If I run the Powernode in conjunction with one or both Flex 2i, the connection regularly occurs.
Sometimes the music plays normally for over an hour and then suddenly one of the players fails. I.e. First a Flex 2i stops the music, then the Powernode also stops.
Afterwards nothing works anymore.
While the two Flex 2i are displayed with a warning in the Bluesound app and can be reactivated again, the Powernode has completely disappeared from the app and can no longer be activated without restarting the player.
Sometimes the connection drops happen in quick succession, i.e. I restart all devices, let music play again in the network and the music just stops again.
I checked using a WLAN analyzer: There are no other users on my WLAN channel, my signal is excellent.
I've already tried everything, the Bluesound devices run on the 2.4 GHz network, and I've already set my WiFi to a fixed channel recommended by Bluesound that isn't used by any other roommates in the house. The devices simply do not work smoothly in a network.
I'm really desperate, support hasn't had a solution so far, they've now offered me telephone support including TeamViewer, but what's the point of that.
I can't imagine what the problem is.
The WiFi signal is very good, I have no connection interruptions with the WiFi signal or with my provider.
Does anyone here have similar problems or have a guess as to what the problem could be?
I'm grateful for any help!

I have the same. One speaker always works, the other one has problems 90% of the time. And the speakers, the computer and the internet point are within a few meters from eachother. I paid far too much money for something that just doesn't work. I have had this problem since the start. I won't recommend this product to anybody. Very frustrating experience. Just awful!
