    HI Renzo

Your issue has been reported to our Quality Assurance and Engineering Team. It appears to mostly be affecting certain models running Android 12. We are aware of the issue and are continuing to look for the root cause of why it only affects these models. Sorry it is taking so long but some bugs are more tricky than others. We are continuing to look for a long-term answer on this one.

I'm facing the exact same misbehaviour as Renzo.

    Samsung Galaxy S20+
    Android 13

    Hi,

As previously described, same issue on Android 13, OneUI v5.

Interesting that finally this is being recognised by Bluesound as an 'issue' instead of a 'feature'; I'm really hoping that this 'feature' (Blueos remaining the persistent default app on phone hardware buttons) has been removed or an option added to disable it in the forthcoming version 4 of the app which was publicly announced in Jan 2023 with a public launch in 'Spring 2023' and delayed until October 2023..

    Hi all.
I'm really hoping the forthcoming app update will solve it, although I have to see first.

And for the comment of Tony:
Thanks for answering. But this issue is not only affecting phones with Android 12.

I'm a heavy Android user, and with 5 different phones, different brands, and Android versions up to the newest 14: they all act the same.

It's just a huge bug in the Bluesound App.

I would add to this the requirement to remove or possibility to disable phone hardware volume buttons remaining operational when phone is locked. I am so sick of sitting down with my phone in my pocket and my speakers ramping to full volume in 2-3 seconds.

This, coupled with the issue in this thread of Bluos phone hardware volume control remaining infinitely persistent, is a perfect storm; I start speakers streaming with my phone then leave home, drive for an hour 60 miles away from home and when I get out the car or sit down somewhere with my phone in my pocket and locked, my speakers (which are still playing at home with family there) ramp to full volume (or zero volume) in 2-3 seconds and I have no idea it's even happened.

Absolutely ridiculous, dangerous, outrageous behaviour/functionality and functionality that is, incredibly, *by design*.
