Node X USB A

I have been loaned a ifi stream and was wondering if there is anyway to hook it up to the Node X.
The ifi has USB A or SPIDF/coaxial outputs so could I just connect the two USB A ports?

  A bit pointless as the ifi stream Is similar to the NODE, the USB a port of the NODE is an output to connect either to a DAC or a memory storage device (stick or HDD)

  Not pointless in the slightest, as I said, I've been loaned the streamer so of course I want to have a play with it and see what it can do, how it sounds etc.
  To me what Does seem pointless is have the Only USB connection on the Node X to be an Out port Only.

  Why connect a streamer to another streamer?

  To see if there is any sound difference, how easy the two UI's are to use, etc

  For sound differences you would need to connect both to an amplifier or DAC, connecting the ifi to the NODE would only give you the NODE’s sound signature.
