Normally if you plug an Ethernet lead into a Bluesound device it takes precedence over Wi-Fi and the Wi-Fi signal in the App is no longer shown so this is very odd.

You could try taking just one Node and leaving the power off for 10 minutes, whilst off move it to your Router and use a known working Ethernet lead and when powered back on see what happens.

If no joy, power cycle your Router. It’s possible that it’s not assigning IP addresses, can you look at your Router to see if anything obvious shows in the network table.

You mentioned different network segment, perhaps explain what hardware you have and how the network is split up.

However it’s probably best to log a support ticket for Bluesound to look further into this.

Update: still not working, but both were working at one point at different times. I was doing some electrical work at my house over the weekend and the contractor had to shut power down to my house. At that time one of my nodes was unplugged from the power the other remained plugged in. The one that was plugged in connected via ethernet after the power was restored. Excited, I plugged in the other and it did not connect via ethernet, it continued to remain on wifi. So I power cycled all my network gear and it connected! but.... the other one went back to wifi. I power cycled again and now none are connected via ethernet and both are on wifi. What is going on? The network is clearly capable of connecting to them....

Another update: after a few hours of being plugged into Ethernet, one connected, about 36 hours later the other one connected to Ethernet. No idea what’s going on….

    Possibly duplicate IP addresses.
