C389 to Pulse 2i

I have just bought a C389 amplifier with MDC2, and a Pulse 2i speaker. The amplifier has wired B&W speakers connected to it. I cannot figure out how to play music FROM the amplifier TO the Pulse speaker. I can play from my phone to either or both, but not from the amplifier (e.g. using a CD player as source). Is this possible, and if so how? Thanks.
