BluOs - sorting by Artists - Album artist
AnsweredSorting by Artist is implemented in BluOS. Super :) But when using Mp3 files (unfortunately they are quite common in local audio libraries) sorting is following MP3 meta tag "Album Artist" instead "Artist". In result when you have an album tagged as "Various" you cannot see specific artist on the artist list because he is listed as "various". So when you play album called "Best of 80's" you cannot find for eg. ABBA under ABBA, but under Various. It's quite annoying. In short: BluOS overwrite tag "artist" with tag "album artist". Could this be changed to follow "artist" tag?

This could be great if Artist can be displayed when you sort Files "by artist" even if they are played from "multiple artist" album. But this looks as a more complicated issue. Let me describe:
I did check my whole library and removed tag "Various artist" from every single album such as "Best Rock songs of 70's" or "Greatest Jazz" etc. So now "Album Artist" tag is empty. But still when I sort my FLAC files (USB drive) by artist there is no for example Creedence Clearwater Revival. But I can find it by "Various Artist" and going to specific album (in that case "70S Classic Rock"). In short CCR is not listed as artist, but as Various Artist, even there is no such a tag for this FLAC file. It looks there is specific intelligence build in BluOS which somehow recognized album "70S Classic Rock" as multiple artists album and preserve CCR be recognized and listed as separate artist.
Please see some screens attached to visualize what I'm trying to say :)
