Using digital output and input simultaneously on Node 2

Hi, I have a Node 2 and I need to use both digital input and output at the same time. Is it possible? Here is why, in case you have a better suggestion.

I use a room correction device (miniDSP with Dirac Live) which uses a digital input - process the signal - then send it through a digital output. Currently, I use an external DAC, but it would be nice to use the Node 2 DAC (one less box in the system). To be more precise, the signal would follow this path: Node 2 digital output -> miniDSP digital input -> miniDSP digital output -> Node 2 digital input -> Node 2 analogue output -> Amplifier.

  Nice try and I like your thinking but you have to select a source such as a music streaming service or an input to play. So with music playing when you select an input, that input is then played. If you select a digital/ line in the music stops playing and you would have no source going to the miniDSP.

  Thanks for the comment, it is exactly the problem and why I am looking for a workaround that I did not think of or maybe a software update allowing the output and input to be active at the same time. Still hope for a suggestion.
