Do I have faulty Powernode (severe problems with BluOS)
AnsweredI have a second-hand Powernode N330 (set up using wireless via IOS) and been trying to use it with BluOS on my iphone and windows laptop. It has been very stressful and frustrating 2-3 days.
As, some of you suggested, I've already did hard reset on Powernode (must have one it 20 times..)
When I connect an USB to the Powernode, I do see my music collection fine on BluOS after indexing. However, BlueOS often freezes when I try to stop the music (music keeps playing on speakers...) , followed by BluOS losing connection on all devices including my phone and the computer. The only way to get BluOS to work again is by hard-resetting the Powernode and reconfiguring it from the beginning.
BluOS on Windows is especially bad. Now, just turning on BluOS on Windows makes it lose connection with my Powernode. Again, the only way to get it backa is by hard-reset of Powernode and reconfigure.
Essentially, my Powernode only works OK if I use bluetooth mode only. BluOS works OK if I try to control to the volume on the app on bluetooth mode, but even then not even on BluOS windows - only on my phone.
Kind of a separate issue, but I cannot get local share of computer files to work on BluOS either. The set-up works fine and I get to the stage where it's supposed to be indexing my files. But, then, nothing. I don't see it reflected on my BluOS.
I am starting to wonder if I have a faulty Powernode, because it is second-hand. It can't really be this bad.. can it?

Hi Tom, most of what you posted point to a networking issue. The BluOS App is only a controller (think TV remote) and when it cannot communicate with the player odd things like the App freezing or volume control issues occur.
Resetting the POWERNODE is not going to help but do take a long look at your router. If you have not already done so powercycle the router then your powernode leaving everything off for a few mins, Your router will have an interface, if you know your way around it then reserve an IP for your POWERNODE and any devices you want to use as a controller.
Your router also needs to have multicast turned on, have a look to see if there is such a setting.
Probably best and to save your sanity is to use the BluOS App and select help… Send Support Request.
