toslink not working with bluenode

My tosklink works with other equipment but not with bluenode.  I have red light coming from tv via the tosklin cable and have my settings on auto detet.  No sound??  Doe bluenode only work with certain cables.  That seems to be the advice.  don't understand??

  Hi Michael,

  please check that the digital output from your TV is set to 2 channel audio (PCM) and nothing fancy like Dolby Digital.
