Lip sync node x
AnsweredWhen watching TV with optical output connected to my Node X, there's a delay in audio. My TV has no delay of it's own. Previously the TV was connected to my NAD AV receiver without any delay. Never had to set something. It seems that the NODE X adds the delay. You can't adjust the delay to 0 ms, only starting van 50 ms, which is a pity. I do not have a TV with eArc HDMI yet, but I guess it won't make any difference. It concerns me a lot. If I knew this before, I probably did not buy this wonderful streamer.
Is it possible to solve this problem?
New software perhaps?

Thanks for your reply!
The NODE is not connected to the AV- Receiver.
My TV was previously connected to the AV-Receiver. Now it is connected to the NODE combined with an normal amplifier.
With the TV connected to the AV Receiver, there was no delay at all.
But now connected to the NODE , there is a delay. So the NODE causes this delay, since the TV has no delay.
Switching the AV mode off, makes it even worse.
According to the information, switching AV mode to ON should support real-time audio synchronisation like with a TV by adjusting the delay.
In my opinion the delay should be adjustable from 0 ms and not from 50ms.0 -
The NODE X is connected to an amplifier.
TV optical output is PCM.
I understand that the NODE X is a multi-room system wherein a delay can occurs and needs to be made sync, but I use the NODE as a stand alone device pure for streaming with the ability to connect a TV and a turntable.I don't understand why there is no bypass possibility for TV synchronisation. The NODE has an eARC HDMI input, so it must be intended to connect a TV to the NODE. This is really odd, and I am not happy with this situation.
This problem exists in older bluesound systems, but is still in the latest NODE X anniversary version.0 -
I have the same issue. Very frustrating.
