BluOs and HDMI ARC Issue

I'm having an issue when I try to use my BluOs controller app to play music on my NAD T778 AVR (when the AVR is off). I do have the AVR set to standby mode for BluOs control and the AVR does turn on as expected. However, no music plays if the last receiver mode used was HDMI ARC. One workaround I have found is to make sure that I switch the AVR mode to any source connected to the TV before I power off my system so it is no longer in HDMI ARC mode. Is there a way or a setting that can help me avoid this issue altogether? It would sure be nice to not have to always remember to change the AVR mode out of HDMI ARC mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi Andrew,

  have you checked so the volume is on when streaming via BluOS. Often TVs send a mute volume command via HDMI ARC when switched off, at least Philips ans Sony do to my NAD M10, so just remember to press play and set the volume. I hope this helps.
