Using a hard drive and external dac simultaneously

Was hoping if someone knows how one could run an external DAC and a hard drive simultaneously? Using mojo2 from the usb and can’t seem to find any other way to have it work , toslink and coaxial both not happening. Really wanted to run my high res collection with app control .
