Replace HD in Vault 2i

Can anybody tell me. If I replace the internal HD in my Vault 2i, what format/s does the vault 2i accept for a new drive? Is there anyway the the vault 2i can format it's own internal drive?

  The drive is not user serviceable and probably best you contact Bluesound for options.

  The Vault will not format a new drive, it requires formatting in a Unix machine to Ext4.
