I have many Bluesound devices, 8 currently on a mix of hard wired ethernet and WiFi.

If the Wifi signal and strength to the wireless units is sufficient it's not an issue. The sound quality is identical wired or wireless. In my experience poor performance of the units on Wifi arise when the wireless signal is weak or subject to interference. I upgraded my WiFi with a robust mesh system and have had zero issues since.

It's not possible to predict what will happen in your setup. Interference can result from impediments to the WiFi signal like thick walls, distance from the router or repeater, neighbouring networks using the same WiFi channel, large metal appliances, microwave ovens and even radar (there's a hospital 5 blocks from me that uses radar for their helicopter).

I'm not going to tout one mesh brand versus another as there are several good ones. Research on trusted hardware review websites if that's a consideration in your case.
