Node X Optical In Does not work

I am trying to get audio from a CD transport to work with the Node X. I have a toslink cable connected from the CD transport to the Node X optical in using the adapter. Neither the adapter that came with the Node X or the previous Node work. The toslink cable works just fine connecting the transport to either a Naim Muso or when I used the previous Node to a DAC. I have tried three different cables, one of which has a 3.5mm termination on one end. Nothing works. Both the regular toslink cables work when outputting audio from the transport to the Naim.

Yes. And it has the volume slider so I know it’s not on mute and at a high enough volume.

Received a call this morning. Unable to answer due to being at work. Called back and chose the option for a call back. Supposedly in the priority order as if I had stayed on hold. 5 hours later, no call back and of course closed now.

I did receive an email this afternoon telling me how to connect the Project to the Node X and to use the app and make sure I select “Optical Input”. This didn’t help at all because I already know this.

Kellie from support was great today. Unfortunately, it's a hardware issue. Will be getting a replacement.
