    Very good suggestion!

Problem solved -- it was my router's new firmware -- it has IPv6 enabled in the new version, which caused very odd issues (others found it in their gaming platforms but like me, not on other devices).

So: disabling IPv6 (plus oddly setting APN to manual on the hub) fixed it and I'm listening to my music again!

(just in case anybody else has similar issues, at least if using a hub like my Zyxel model NR5103E

    thanks for the help :)

    Cheers for the quick reply!

Yep -- rebooted router too (forgot to mention that).  Node & Flex aren't visible on router app now (they were there an hour ago and nothing was turned on/off since then).  Turned both off & on and now they show up again.  (actually, the router shows something like a MAC address, not IP).  But "arp -a" in DOS finds them -- but then no -- I get no reply when pinging either device from DOS.
