distortion/interference only on external inputs
AnsweredI have had my equipment for a week and am troubleshooting some audio issues.
Playing from plugged in sources produces a warble/distortion/interference every 10 seconds or so, I haven't timed it accurately but could try if it might help narrow down the issue. I have read reference to some similar issues and tested at different volumes, which does not help at all.
My setup:
Powernode N330 and a Pulse 2i
Synology NAS with all my audio files
Intel NUC running Jriver Media Centre hardcoded to output via Toslink into Powernode Digital 2
Technics Turntable & Sony CD player plugged into a Pioneer A223 amp output via REC into Powernode Analog 1
Intel NUC everything else via HMDI into a TV and HDMI ARC into Powernode HDMI input
All networked hardware is hardwired. There is no WiFi in use for this equipment.
The interference happens with all 3 external inputs listed. It does not happen with Radio Paradise, Spotify or playing my audio files indexed via BluOS. I can play the same files via Jriver and the interference happens and via BluOS and the interference does not happen.
I have grouped the Powernode and Pulse in the BlueOS app. That is the only way I could get audio out of the Pulse. Is this right? I could find no guides on how to set these two items up to work together. I think my troubleshooting has ruled out the network, the NAS, the files and any of the external equipment. This leaves something in the Bluesound ecosystem which I need help with.
Thanks in advance.

Is this where we go for help? I notice someone posting since me has received an official response

Thanks. Would you believe it fixed itself?
All I did was power cycle both Bluesound items because they were no longer being detected by the app. Maybe they require a power cycle after a firmware update?
Is there a better way to power cycle than by unplugging them?
