Bluesound RC1 remote draining batteries

Using a Node 28 with an RC1 remote. Love the remote, but dangit if it doesn't drain the pair of CR2032 after just 2-3 weeks. Any similar feedback on this or solutions?

  This does not sound right, I am escalating this to our Support Crew to ask some follow-up questions and investigate further.
